Our client is an Australian FinTech company solving big problems in the Superannuation and Managed Funds industry. Bringing together exceptional brains from Administration, Product, and Technology positions them to develop novel solutions to decades-old challenges.
What you will do:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend software systems and applications using Kotlin and related technologies.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, and designers to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
- Work with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and maintain coding standards.
- Identify and resolve software defects and issues.
- Continuously enhance software engineering practices and standards.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in software engineering.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Proficiency in Kotlin/Java and related technologies such as Spring, Hibernate, and Maven
- Experience with CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins and Buildkite
- Experience with integration testing
- Experience with SQL databases and SQL queries
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
